Mr. Rosemond was a professional dancer and performer from 1974 through 2001, for 8 professional ballet and 3 modern dance companies, as well as musical theatre and opera, (now long retired from performing).  He is a graduate from the Academy at the Washington School of Ballet. He has a BFA in dance and theater pedagogy from the University of Cincinnati. He has masters level certifications in Movement Analysis, Functional Anatomy, Somatic Movement Therapy and specialists in Dancers & Elder Rehabilitation, Impairment Fitness and Dance. He has been a Dance Educator for 45 years and directs the Mountainside Dance Center in Rappahannock County, Virginia where he teaches, choreographs and directs in Classical (from Vaganova) and Contemporary Ballet, Modern and Contemporary Dance, Experiential & Improvisational Movement.

Philip self-incorporated "Rosemond Consulting Services, llc" in the 2000s so he could work as a self-employed contractor. He instructs and facilitates all of his teaching, archival work, and consulting under the "RCS, LLC" business title. He also writes regarding Cognitive Somatics, Dance & Ballet kinesis, aesthetics and history, in regards to migrations of dancers, pedagogies, & cultural aesthetics and the social, political and economic environments across Europe and then the world, that shaped it. He also works with clients in Therapeutic Movement, Balance, Falls Training and Fall Prevention at Mountainside Physical Therapy next door to the dance center. He also has 30 years of experience in gallery and museum archiving, curating and management, and manages the Jeff MacNelly Archive (also here in Rappahannock), as well as other private collections and archives.
